The impressive, international line up for the 4th Journalism Leaders Forum on Tuesday, October 17th, includes:
- The man dubbed 'the most powerful person in Britain's regional newspaper industry', Johnston Press chief executive Tim Bowdler;
- The digital editor of the first fully-integrated multimedia newsroom in The Netherlands, Geert-Jan Bogaerts;
- The associate director of the Knight Foundation-funded programme, 'Tomorrow's Workforce', Tim Porter.
Chaired by the past president of the Society of Editors, Keith Sutton,
who is an Industrial Fellow of the Journalism Leaders Programme, the
panel will discuss, 'Leading Innovation: what to do, how to do it'.
More details about the event - which is free and open to the public and
which will also be Webcast live is available on the Forum blog:
http://journalismleadersforum.blogspot.com.
This should be interesting even if it seems to (wrongly) imply that there are no women involved in the move to digital.
(disclosure: I teach on this course and have given in-house strategy and training for the Johnston Press pilot project in Preston)
