Societies, communities, journalists, activists, all of us in fact, face the problem of attacks on media freedom.
The excellent journalism resource Journalism.co.uk has a continuously updated time line of media freedom abuses, using the free timeline service Dipity.
These timelines are easy to do, can be automatically updated through RSS or manually and can be an open resource allowing your community to make updates. And yes, its free.
Thx for the link, but you still didn't fix my problem, how can i put that timeline on my blog, once i put the link it appears link not as box like the one on your blog, but thx again!!

Thanks for the link, Mark. It automatically feeds press freedom news from RSF, CPJ, IFJ, Frontline Club, our own site and other bits and bobs I spot, linked via Publish2. More info here: http://www.journalism.co.uk/5/articles/534900.php
You can also follow via Twitter http://twitter.com/@press_freedom.
But, it's been going since November, and while it's a useful resource for going back and tracking the evolution of stories, I'm not sure how best to develop it to generate more conversation etc. Does anyone have ideas? I've thought about using Publish2 to create a widget for our blog, but it would be good to get some other journalists interested in press freedom involved too.
